Course Description
Duration: 2 Days What you’ll learn? This course is designed for new riggers, general laborers involved in lifting operations, maintenance personnel, and safety officers seeking foundational rigging awareness. Its objective is to provide participants with essential knowledge of rigging and lifting operations, focusing on safe practices, regulatory requirements, and the correct selection, inspection, and use of lifting equipment. Through a structured series of modules, the course covers the fundamentals of rigging and lifting, including terminology, types of rigging equipment, pre-use inspection, and proper care. It explores sling and load configurations, lifting procedures, job planning, and communication methods such as hand signals and radios. Participants will also learn about hazard identification, PPE, and emergency response, all aimed at minimizing risks during lifting activities. The course includes practical training, allowing participants to apply learned concepts through equipment demonstrations, supervised rigging exercises, and non-critical lifting operations.
